Paasloo is located between Oldemarkt and Steenwijkerwold in the north of the Kop van Overijssel.
What mainly attracts the visitor to Paasloo is the beautiful natural surroundings. The Weerribben are very close to the village, which is why there are many accommodation options in the village, varying from campsites to Bed & Breakfasts to discover the beautiful nature of the National Park in Weerribben in several days.
Paasloo itself has a Reformed church from the 16th century. The nave of the church corresponds to an Overijssel farm, which is certainly worth a look. You can also visit a museum farm in the village where household items, utensils and tools from the baker, shoemaker, carpenter, blacksmith, peat maker and thatcher can be seen. The museum gives a nice look at the farm life of the past. There is also a shop from the 1940-45 period, a shoemaker's shop and a blacksmith shop.
J.C Bloem The well-known Dutch poet J.C Bloem and his wife, the poet Clara Eggink, are both buried in the Paasloo cemetery
