White Horses / Baars - 9 km from Giethoorn 10 minutes by car

The tiny village of White Horses is almost attached to Steenwijkerwold and the hamlet of Baars; all the way in the north of the Kop van Overijssel.

Baars is one of the smaller towns in the Kop van Overijssel. It is located between Steenwijk and Willemsoord. The place is perfectly accessible from the A32. In Baars itself you can optimally enjoy the peace. It is, among other things, the beautiful surroundings that make the location of the town so special. Densely wooded areas, such as De Woldberg and De Eese, alternate with the lakes and ponds of De Wieden and De Weerribben. Not only hikers and cyclists can enjoy themselves here.
